While some EcoGeeks may be dismayed that Sony's PlayStation 2 is already trash, at least a small portion of the already-outdated toxic consoles are being saved from the landfill. The furniture fashion divas at Pli Design are churning out functional, minimalist chairs made with the plastic casings of old PS2s.So maybe you can feel a bit less guilty about having an incessant desire for the latest toys.
Pli Design is a London-based sustainable furniture manufacturer and they're asking £99 for the video game chair (which they call the Reee™ chair). The chair has a September release date, but in the mean time, EcoGeeks can hit pause and preorder one. Looks like they'll ship internationally, too—they must have 1,000 experience points!
