Electric vehicle company Wheego is looking to sell its first cars in May. They're currently taking applications for dealers, and they're getting them from from major dealerships as well as smaller electric-specific dealers.
The Wheego Whip will be their first vehicle, and (so far) it's getting good reviews by folks who have driven prototypes. Unfortunately, early reports are saying that the base price looks to be pretty steep, at just under $20k. And though the top speed of 60 mph is high for an NEV, it will be required by government regulations to stay under 35 mph until they go through crash testing.
For that price, you might want to wait for the (remarkably similar-looking) Smart Fortwo EV.
