Grease Theft

Improving small-scale collection and recycling is a good idea. What else can you do in a home but throw it in the garbage?

During peak oil prices, I saw a TV news story in SF that there was a problem with unauthorized grease collectors coming in the night and taking the waste oil, shutting out the collectors that otherwise buy waste oil. They were having to install locks on the grease containers! I suppose the economics are a bit different now that during the time of $150/barrel petro-oil.
