Fujitsu has just released it's ultra-compact, ultra-efficient TX120. Fujitsu claims that it uses 37% less energy than traditional tower servers and is 1/4 the size. The server is meant for in-office use, not as a datacenter machine. Previously, these "tower servers" have been less advanced than rack servers, but Fujitsu is responding to the needs of it's customers with this machine.
People in offices, hospitals and schools want something small, quiet, efficient and that doesn't produce a lot of heat. The TX120 scores big points in every one of those categories. And with a 2.66 GHZ Xeon Dual Core, they didn't sacrifice power either.
