Can you run your car with water?

Saw this website on how to convert your car to using water.

It says "you use electricity from your car's battery to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also called Brown's Gas or Hydroxy, burns smoothly and provides significant energy - while the end product is just H2O! HHO provides the atomic power of Hydrogen, while maintaining the stability of water."

Anybody know anything about this technology. I don;t know if the site is legit, but is the technology?

Thanks.

If you pay me $50 I'll send you a booklet to let you know how it is not possible for water to increase your fuel efficiency. On second thought, I'll tell you how you can make it work.

A. Invent a nuclear fusion machine
B. Shrink it down enough to fit in your car
C. Forget about mileage because you will be the richest man in the world

A number of chemical compounds combine with water to release hydrogen, but in all cases the energy required to produce such compounds exceeds the energy obtained upon their combustion.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
