Google has created it's first "Mashup." Mashups are, apparently, videos tours tied to Google Maps, further ushering Google into the category of content provider, as well as information manager.
But I urge you to check it out, and their tips for how to conduct searches for environmentally friendly services and products. I'm not sure that traveling to any of the places listed could actually be considered environmentally friendly. But, since we're probably gonna be traveling anyway, it's nice to see Google is giving us educational and ecologically minded options.

Hey,
This is pretty cool - can't figure out how to add my green organic cafe to the listing though - www.dandelioncommunitea.com
Green Drummer

Worthless bit of trivia: The Google drummer in all the segments was Nabil Ayers, drummer of Alien Crime Syndicate. Was it "green" to fly Nabil all over the country to appear in these segments?
Green Organic Cafe\'s

Man those are hard to come by in Illinois. We have to settle for the Organic part.
More about Orlando

It looks as though Google chose a few random green spots and that's it. For this to be anything more than a promotional gimmick, Google needs to actually start building an index of all "green" businesses.
In other words, to the guy who posted about dandelioncommunitea.com, folks like you should be able to add their green businesses to their listings. Otherwise, it's crap. On a side note, I'm moving up to Orlando this summer, and I'm definitely going to check your place out when I get there!
Orlando Ugh

I grew up in Orlando, and I just can't imagine it being much less sustainable than it already is. Thanks to everyone trying to green up such a gray spot. But I simply can never go back...

Science, technology gadgets and...baby seals. We're in a bit of an eco-mess, but we've got the brains to lick any problem. And that's why EcoGeek.org publishes up to ten stories daily about innovations that are saving the planet.
And if that sounds interesting to you, then congratulations, you're an EcoGeek.
Thank you! Finally, someone who gets it. Is Green Travel viable? Heck no.
