Post-consumer, recycled-plastic fibers take less energy to create, don't use any new materials, and keep the plastic in use and out of landfills. Meanwhile, solar-powered bags keep your cell phone or iPod going without the need to plug in to the electric grid. In terms of environmental innovations, it's not gonna change the world...but it is a pretty cool way to wear your EcoGeek badge on your sleeve. Via Smart Planet

I wondered what kind of plug-in system they were using, and it seems from their site that they're trying to give you the option of charging by every single means known to man! Looks like a cool thing to have. Now, if only they made a carrier bag type thing of the same kind, I'd be REALLY interested.
Well done!

This is the perfect thing for a college student to keep their electronics going. I wish I had one when I was in school, because it seemed like I was always going somewhere.

is $199 at bend solar maybe less elsewhere? Thats doable, and its higher power than the voltaic brand.

Science, technology gadgets and...baby seals. We're in a bit of an eco-mess, but we've got the brains to lick any problem. And that's why EcoGeek.org publishes up to ten stories daily about innovations that are saving the planet.
And if that sounds interesting to you, then congratulations, you're an EcoGeek.
