Hello there fellow EcoGeeks, if you happen to be living in the North East U.S., there there's an exciting event coming up this weekend. Consider changing your Saturday plans and participate in the Green Buildings Open House, an event that stretches over 10 U.S. states and offers an opportunity to see new eco-technologies in practice. The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) organizes this event, and it is part of the American Solar Energy's Society's National Solar Tour. Its entirely free and no registration is needed.
This is a great opportunity to meet with homeowners
and building managers and learn more about green buildings or a
first-hand basis. There are some demonstrations of pretty cutting-edge
stuff like superinsulation, photovoltaics and small wind turbines.
Don't miss the Green Building Open
House will be this Saturday, October 7, 2006 from 10am-4pm. More than
400 buildings will be open in all six New England states, as well as
Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Science, technology gadgets and...baby seals. We're in a bit of an eco-mess, but we've got the brains to lick any problem. And that's why EcoGeek.org publishes up to ten stories daily about innovations that are saving the planet.
And if that sounds interesting to you, then congratulations, you're an EcoGeek.
