treehouse3

Many of us had tree houses when we where kids.  It was our fort, where our pre-adolescent selves could gather together within homemade hardwood walls to discuss important issues such as who had cooties.  Tree houses have come a long way since those days.  Imagine having your home office up in a tree with plumbing, electricity, and internet access.

A company in Paso Robles, California called Daniels Wood Land makes custom and luxurious tree houses fortreehouse1 adults and children.  Their tree houses sell from $7,000 up to $1 million.  Daniels Wood Land is not the only company that makes these exotic tree houses.  O2 Sustainability Tree Houses makes tent-like houses made out of aluminum and canvas, which are suspended from branches.  O2 calls them canopy tree houses which run around $18,800.  TreeHouse Co. in Kilmarnock, Scotland also makes custom tree houses.  This company built a custom tree house for the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.  The tree house was one of the largest wooden tree houses in the world.  It was 6,000 square feet and contained a 120-seat restaurant, a retail shop, two classrooms, and two private dining rooms.  This giant tree house cost around $6 million.

Custom tree houses are continuously growing in popularity as home additions, and even exotic destinations, which include hotels and restaurant.

Imagine if an entire city was based on these tree houses.  Not only would the city be in the middle of a beautiful forested landscape, it would also be like living in some kind of neat science fiction movie.  We can be like the Wood Elves from The Lord of the Rings.

Environmental reuse/recycle book !
written by Lillian , October 16, 2006
Check out: Trash Talk
ISBN#1-4137-2518-X

People are constantly bombarded with negative information about the environment and our resources. Feeling powerless because we cannot afford to donate cash or time to a cause, we begin to feel overwhelmed by the immense environmental problems our world faces. In Trash Talk, the authors focus on changing people's mindset to a more open, hopeful and proactive one. Not by finger-pointing at corporations and governments, but by starting in our own homes, at our own desks.
Trash Talk began as a series of articles that focused on ways the average person can make small changes to do their part for the Earth. Dave and Lillian compiled all the articles and other information that they could not fit in the limited space of the column into this book. Trash Talk embarks on frugal and conscious living techniques for the individual. Focusing on the reuse of "waste" materials and reducing the consumption of resources, Trash talk is written to empower people to feel more positive about their worth as individuals in a hectic, expensive, environmentally stressed world. The Brummets show how to make a real and visible difference, while saving money at the same time.

Order at any bookstore or online bookstore.

ABC TELEVISION
written by JULIA JENKINS , November 18, 2006
Greetings ~

My name is Julia Jenkins and I am a casting producer for ABC's hit reality show 'Wife Swap.'

We are currently casting for our third season and I am looking for families that live or own a tree house or free-spirit sphere etc. I came upon your website and I was just amazed. What an brilliant idea!!

If you are unfamiliar with the show, Wife Swap is a fascinating story of what happens when two married couples see themselves and their spouses in a whole new light. Time Magazine calls Wife Swap "a riveting examination of family values." The New York Post says, "It should be called 'Life Swap' because it's not just the wives who learn something here. It's the families."

The premise of Wife Swap is simple: for six days, two wives from two different families with very different values exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to discover what it's like to live a different woman's life.

Here at 'Wife Swap' we look for a two-parent home with at least one child between the ages of 6 and 17 living at home fulltime.

We are currently casting for our third season, so don't miss out on this amazing experience! Families that appear on the show receive $20,000 as a thank you. And if you refer a family that appears on the show you would receive $1000.

If you have a family and you are interested in applying for the show, or if you know of any great families that you would like to refer, please EMAIL: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . Please provide details in your email!!

Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!
