This $100 Kenyan bike engine quickly converts any bicycle to a 100 mpg motorbike. It might not be the most efficient engine, or the cleanest. But as the world develops, simple solutions like these are necessary to make the world a better place for people, without upsetting the balance of the environment.

It's a bicycle, with an engine that helps.

Are this easy to fit? Do you need to upgrade your chain & brakes etc? If used in the UK are any other modifications required?

We in North America, with abundant access to the power grid have concentrated on plug in battery electric bikes, but the price of oil is only high enough to cause marginal use of them. If the price of oil increases dramatically, a three wheeled, enclosed, solar/battery plugin, made with a carbon fiber body will emerge as popular for the Americans for going shopping and short commutes, plug in to plug in, so to speak!

Note that they require tax, insurance, registration, etc, if used in the UK.
