The Vatican Goes Solar

Not only is Pope Benedict the first pope to cheap cialis comment on the "unbalanced use of energy" in the www.massing.de world, but now he's really pushing for green cred with the installation of a 2,400-panel solar PV array atop Nervi Hall.

The project cost $1.6 million and how to get cialis is expected to generate about 300 MWh per year. The energy will light, heat or cool Nervi Hall, an auditorium used when the pope speaks to general audiences. When the building is not in use, the energy will be fed into Vatican City's grid.

The project was funded by German companies SolarWorld and SMA Solar Technology and will prevent the emission of 200 tonnes of www.slic.de CO2 every two weeks.

While the Vatican remains conservative on most issues, this pope has been willing to speak on topics usually considered off-limits. It's a great sign that the environmental crisis is tramadol online without rx being recognized as a global, human crisis, regardless of religious or political affiliation.

If schools can do it...
written by www.GreenPoliticsNJ.com, December 11, 2008
Great site. Wow yeah if the ultimate in traditional enterprises, the Vatican, can do it, then anyone can. I was stunned by how quickly schools are moving to add solar, with 6 of 8 school district referenda in NJ alone this week approving solar panels. And then there's a bill in the NJ legislature that would REQUIRE all new-build schools to have solar power in the design. Maybe your readers also want a link to levitra sale this post?

This is great. The Vatican is going to be powered by heaven. If that's not being Godly, I don't know what is.

Strange decision

I am puzzled by the www.rickgenest.com choice of photo voltaic because there is enough filth and excrement produced by the vatican to power the worlds largest fecal reactor.

BAM!

BAM! Couldn't have summed it up better myself, Habitoid!

Brian, "The Vatican is going to be powered by heaven." What, are you 5 years old?

But seriously, for a such religious body to endorse science (first climate change, then photovoltaics) is hypocricy in the first order. I guessing they've essentially been backed into a corner.

what does it take around here...
written by JoeM, December 13, 2008
What does it take to have comments removed as offensive? Insulting an entire religion and namecalling an individual are apparently a-okay.

So, in this spirit, to Habitoid and Kris I say:

Fuck you, you fucking fuck.

American South West Power
written by Uncle B, December 13, 2008
If the U.S. had chosen to be a moral people, and leaving Iraqi oil alone, and following Al Gore, decided to develop the South Western deserts, with the technology of the times - solar/thermal-molten sodium - electricity installations, for the same amount of money as that war cost, ($650 Billion), today, we would be tapping into the largest, renewable, sustainable, energy source the world has ever known. It would have paid every energy bill in the U.S.A. for maintenance fees only - FOREVER! It would be equivalent to meivending.com an oil field that can NEVER run dry! Low cost electric power, and storeable hydrogen gasoline replacement from the prescription viagra electricity, for all!
After the millions of murders, and $650 billions of dollars, borrowed from our children’s futures and pissed away, with thousands of propecia online pharmacy no prescription our own and rx online cialis others maimed and disfigured for life, millions of families utterly destroyed, ours and theirs, we are no closer to Iraqi oil production than the Iraqis are!
The next time you hear a blithering idiot spoiled brat, drunken, drug addicted, sociopath, rich Arabic saber dancing daddie’s boy oilman, stand at a microphone and threaten YOUR safety with someone ELSE’S weapons, remember what you lost America, remember, and weep! Offensive?
written by Kris, December 15, 2008
Hi JoeM,

Yes, it does seem a little lax that offensive posts such as yours aren't moderated appropriately.

I find it strange that you would compare my post to the final sentence of yours. All I was saying is that for a religious body such as the Vatican (who are muddle-headed about almost every scientific endeavor) to begin endorsing the fruit of the labor of those who are often considered an affront to religion is total hypocricy. That is all.

As for Brian's comment, I personally found it offensive to not only myself but the entire human race. This blog is good choice canada levitra online about technology and the www.karlbarth.nl environment. His comment had nothing to say about either. Regardless, it was clearly infantile and I sincerily hope he is about 5 years old since that is where that kind of naive romanticism should stay.

Good day.
